Born and raised in Decatur GA, Ahmad Austin is a 20 year Cybersecurity Consultant by trade. His IT journey began in the United States Air Force. After separating from the Air Force in 2007 he began working as a military contractor. As his exposure to knowledge increased, so did his vision and desire to provide security services as an Entrepreneur. With that vision he founded a cybersecurity company, Cy3.
Since the inception of Cy3, Ahmad has provided cybersecurity consulting services for Air Force and Navy organizations, department stores, hospitals, and Alabama and Georgis State agencies to name a few. He’s also served as an adjunct professor and also held weekly mentoring sessions for adults interested in learning and applying information security principles.
With all that said, his love for Decatur and the people that reside in it come first. He has been fortunate to have been allotted the opportunity to participate in the mentoring and cybersecurity development of the students at the elementary school that he attended as a child, Chapel Hill Elementary.
HE is in the process of developing an academy to build the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, starting with the students of Chapel Hill.
