Dr. Todd Shaw is the CAS Distinguished Associate Professor of Political Science and African American Studies at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. He teaches and researches on the topics of American Politics, African American Politics, U S racial and ethnic politics, public policy, and political participation. He has published numerous scholarly articles and one of his recent books is an edited volume, “After Obama: African American Politics in Post-Obama America”. He has served as an associate dean in the College of Arts & Sciences at USC and as a past president of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists, among other professional honors. He is always delighted to engage with fellow citizens on issues of public concern
